Family protection in an AURA white label app: a couple looking at a phone, beside app screens showing people on a map and help requested

Family protection brings shared location and emergency response together in your white label app. Your customers can see the people they care about on one map, and request help for them when they cannot ask for it themselves.

‍

  • Shared location, by consent. Each person chooses whether to share their location, and can switch it off at any time.
  • Help for someone else. Select a person and press and hold their help button. A responder is sent to that person's location, and you can follow the response in the app.
  • Chat and battery at a glance. Message the control centre during a response, and see the battery level of everyone in the group.

‍

Security response is available in every region. Medical response is available in South Africa and Kenya.

AURA Control Centre scheduling screens beside three responder app screens showing upcoming jobs, job details and Start job

Scheduled work, such as mobile patrols and temporary guarding, now goes straight to the response partner delivering it.

‍

  • Scheduled work in your AURA control software. See every schedule and job AURA allocates to you, with an email the moment work arrives. Assign each job to one of your responders.
  • Upcoming jobs in the responder app. Responders see their assigned jobs for the next two days and tap Start job at the scheduled time. No phone call needed.

‍

You see work you have already agreed to do, and the AURA Control Centre team sees every scheduled job.

A technician or salesperson can now onboard a new customer to AURA from the doorstep, on a phone, in one visit. The site capture tool runs in the browser, with nothing to install, and connects straight to the customer platform.

‍

In one pass you pin and classify the site, add access codes, risks, photos and site instructions, attach the task lists responders work through on scene, and choose who receives live tracking and the incident report. Then choose how the site is covered:

  • Monitored. Link the site to its monitoring centre with their reference ID, and the site details flow straight through to them.
  • Self-monitored. Manage the site and the account from your own admin dashboard in the customer platform.

The site is dispatch-ready as soon as it is saved.

Security responder driving with a phone, beside the AURA responder app showing a callout with turn-by-turn navigation on Google Maps

Through a development collaboration with the Google Maps Platform team, AURA is the first emergency response platform authorised to embed Google Maps Platform navigation natively into its responder app.

‍

Responders now get turn-by-turn navigation inside the app they already use, with live traffic and smoother rerouting. Routing, navigation and ETA calculations work from one mapping engine, so responders, control centre teams and the people waiting for help share the same picture of the response.

All trip and incident data stays within AURA's secure, closed-loop environment.

The new navigation is available on the latest version of the responder app. Update when prompted.

AURA responder app incoming callout screen showing the site, distance, callout type, a route on the map, and Accept and Decline buttons

The responder app has been rebuilt, with every screen reviewed alongside working responders.

  • Clearer callout screens. Emergency type, location and instructions sit up front, and accepting takes fewer taps.
  • Site information on arrival. Building name and entry, photographs, access codes, risks and site documents, with no need for controllers to send files.
  • I've arrived. If automatic arrival detection does not fire, responders confirm their own arrival once close to the location.
  • Stand down. Responders who can no longer attend an accepted callout can release it, with a reason, straight back to the network.
  • Medical callouts (South Africa and Kenya). Colour-coded triage priority (P1 to P4) and the required level of care show before accepting, with critical patient information on arrival.
  • New content without an app update. Guides, training and what's new can appear in the app as soon as they are published.
  • Faster and lighter. Quicker loading, better performance in low-connectivity areas, lower battery and data use, and consistent behaviour across iOS and Android, including older devices.

Everything else works as before, from chat and task lists to backup requests. Update when prompted.

Four steps: AURA sets up your account, you receive an invitation, you set your password, then you sign in and get started

When AURA onboards your organisation to the customer platform, your account is set up with your name and your own email address. You then activate it yourself: you receive an invitation, verify your address and set your own password.

‍

Your login belongs to you from the first time you sign in. Only you know your password, and you can recover access yourself through your verified address.

Once your account is active, you can start setting up the platform, including uploading your user database.
