Scheduled work AURA allocates to your company now appears in your AURA control software, where you assign each job to one of your responders. Your responders see their jobs in the responder app and start them with one tap.
What's changed
Scheduled work, such as a mobile patrol twice a day for a week, a temporary guard at a site while its CCTV is down, valuable stock delivery, or shift guarding, now reaches you through the AURA platform.
Four terms describe how it works:
Schedule: the whole booking from one customer, for example a patrol twice a day for a week.
Job: one visit within a schedule. This is what you assign and what your responder starts.
Allocate: AURA gives a schedule, or some of its jobs, to your company.
Assign: you give a job to your responders.
As soon as AURA allocates work to you, you receive an email and the work appears in your AURA control software. You only see scheduled work you have already agreed. A schedule may be allocated to you in full, or its jobs may be split across more than one response partner.
AURA allocates a schedule to your company
Why this matters
For response partners
You see the work you have agreed to before the day, and you decide who goes, in one place. That means fewer calls on the day, in either direction.
For responders in the field
You see your next two days of jobs on your phone and start each one yourself when it is time.
How to assign a job
For response partner owners, operations managers and dispatchers.
Open the allocation email. You receive it as soon as AURA allocates scheduled work to your company.
Log in to your AURA Control Centre and open the scheduling view. Open the schedule. You see the schedule and every job within it.
Assign each job to one of your responders. Choose from the responders registered to your company on the AURA network. Assign as soon as you know who is going; you can also assign on the day.
Let your responder know. Check that they are on the latest version of the responder app.
Your responder sees the job in their app once it falls within the next two days.
How to start a job
Update the responder app. You need the latest app version to unlock these functions.
Open the app and select your profile.
Check your upcoming jobs. Each job assigned to you shows on the home screen as a Scheduled service, with a countdown to its start. You see jobs for the next two days.
Open the job. Select the arrow on a job to see the site, the time window and how far away it is. Select Navigate for directions.
Go to the site in good time.
Tap Start job. The button appears when the scheduled time arrives.
Complete the job. From here, the app works the way you already know.

Things to know
Responders see the next two days only, to keep the phone screen simple. You see the whole schedule in your AURA control software, so you can plan as far ahead as you like.
Responders need the latest app to see and start jobs.
If a job is close to its start time and has no responder assigned, the AURA Control Centre team will contact you. Please treat that call as urgent.
Site access codes are shown in the job details once your responder arrives on site.
Only use the customer details you see to deliver the work allocated to you, in line with your agreement with AURA and the data protection law in your country.
The tools behind your scheduled work
See how the management platform and responder app help you set up your responders and manage every job in the field.
No. You only see scheduled work you have already agreed to do with AURA.
We already run our own rostering system. Do we need to change it?
No. Keep your own system for rostering. For AURA jobs, assign the responder against the job in your AURA Control Centre so it shows in their app and AURA can see it is covered.
What if we can no longer do a job after it has been allocated?
Contact the AURA Control Centre team as soon as you know, so the job can be covered.
Can we still phone the AURA Control Centre?
Yes. The AURA Control Centre team is available 24/7. For scheduled work, the quickest way to get a job started is now through the app, so a call should only be needed if something goes wrong.
Does this change what we are paid?
This change is about how scheduled work reaches you. For any question about payment, speak to your AURA supply team contact.
