Modern Slavery Act Policy

Policy Statement:

AURA is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all its business operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and are dedicated to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or our supply chains.

Scope:

This policy applies to all employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders involved in the operations of AURA.

Key Principles:

01
Compliance with Legislation:

AURA will comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to modern slavery, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We will also adhere to other relevant international human rights standards.

02
Zero Tolerance to Modern Slavery:

We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. Any form of forced labour, servitude, human trafficking, or exploitation is strictly prohibited.

03
Risk Assessment and Due Diligence:

We will conduct regular risk assessments of our operations and supply chains to identify and mitigate any potential risks of modern slavery. This includes:

Evaluating new suppliers and subcontractors before they enter our supply chain.
Conducting regular audits and assessments of existing suppliers and subcontractors.
04
Supplier Code of Conduct:

Our suppliers and subcontractors are expected to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct, which outlines our standards and expectations regarding labour practices, including the prohibition of modern slavery and human trafficking. We will work with our suppliers to ensure they understand and comply with these standards.

05
Training and Awareness:

We will provide training to our employees on the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking, as well as on how to identify and report potential issues. Awareness programmes will be conducted to ensure all employees and stakeholders understand the importance of this policy.

06
Reporting Mechanisms:

We encourage employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions regarding modern slavery or human trafficking. Reports can be made confidentially through our whistleblowing policy, and all reports will be taken seriously and investigated promptly.

07
Continuous Improvement:

We are committed to continually improving our practices to combat modern slavery and human trafficking. This includes reviewing our policies and procedures annually and staying informed about new risks and best practices.

Implementation and Review:

The Managing Director has overall responsibility for ensuring this policy is implemented.
The Compliance Officer is responsible for the day-to-day management of the policy, including conducting risk assessments and due diligence, and providing training and support.
Regular audits and assessments will be conducted to ensure compliance with this policy and relevant legislation.
This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its relevance and effectiveness in preventing modern slavery.

Communication

This Modern Slavery Act policy will be communicated to all employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders. It will be available on our company website and included in employee training programmes.
