AURA, a life saving technology platform making emergency response services more accessible and affordable, today announced a new partnership with Glovo Kenya, a global tech platform for on-demand ordering services from local restaurants, grocers, supermarkets, and high street retail stores. This partnership will see AURA deliver transparent, verifiable safety and emergency support for Glovo Kenya’s network of independent riders across Nairobi and beyond.
Through AURA’s integrated emergency response platform, Glovo Kenya now has access to a fully digitised, end-to-end safety infrastructure. Every rider report is logged, timestamped, and tracked in real time, replacing fragmented processes with clear procedures and transparent, verifiable data.
From the moment a rider triggers an alert, Glovo’s operations team can monitor the full incident lifecycle — from dispatch to arrival and resolution — with complete visibility and accountability. AURA’s network enables rapid response across security, medical, and roadside assistance categories, ensuring riders receive the appropriate support for a wide range of incidents.

The partnership marks a significant step forward in how tech platforms in Kenya approach road safety. By moving from manual, unverifiable systems to a real-time, data-driven emergency response model, Glovo Kenya is strengthening its commitment to providing a safe infrastructure while improving transparency and operational control.
“Especially in complex urban environments like Nairobi, emergency response systems cannot be left to fragmented or ineffective systems,” said Victor Odera, AURA’s Kenya Country Manager. “AURA’s partnership with Glovo brings full transparency to emergency response for the first time — ensuring every incident is visible, every response is trackable, and every rider has access to rapid, verified support when they need it most.”
Liz Wambua, Operations Manager at Glovo added, “through our partnership with AURA, we are empowering the independent riders who use our platform with robust safety and health protections. Knowing that they are securely covered against unexpected road risks, from breakdowns to emergency response, gives them the peace of mind to focus on what they do best. This reflects our deep commitment to urban safety and the well-being of every rider connected to Glovo."
AURA was born in 2017 out of the critical need to make private emergency, security, and roadside response services more accessible and affordable. As a result, AURA has created Kenya’s largest response network of over 2000 vetted responders. Regardless of income brackets Kenyans can now access security medical and roadside response services instantly using a connected device. AURA integrates smart and scalable technology into existing customer portals, for instance, using API integration, WhatsApp, customised apps, or various IoT devices. Consequently, users are now able to offer their staff and customers instant emergency assistance as a free or paid for value-added service. Founded in 2017 in Johannesburg, it operates across South Africa, Kenya, the UK and the United States.
